My first dive into the world of gridfinity.

The combination of having a workshop and also hoarding screws creates a great need for organization.
There comes a time, when you can’t resist the temptation of starting your own gridfinity implementation any longer.

I created my STL Files in Freecad, using the Gridfinity Workbench. Unfortunately, the needed Freecad Version 1.0 is only available as .AppImage as the time of writing.

Whether the Magnets on the baseplate & bins are actually necessary, i still am not sure. At least in my current configuration with the self-built drawer i would say the magnet reinforcement is not needed.

My plans for the future of this ever evolving project include more drawers, also more drawers and i couldn’t forget about the still more drawers i need. There are also ideas floating in my head for converting Bosch L-BOXXes to Gridfinity transportation solutions…

If i had a YT-Channel that would lead me right to the catchphrase “Make sure to subscribe and click the f-ing bell to get notified!”. But there is no YT-Channel and no subscribe-button. So just have a nice day and check in some day in the future for Part #2 of this series.

Thanks for reading. ~Coni
