A QOL-improvement to assist in camping cooking.
Key Facts:

Two friends of mine came to me with a very specific problem they came across while being out on a camping trip.
They tried to secure their cutting Board perpendicular to the stove-lid, to act as a windbreak while cooking.

Attempts were made using an assortment of different tools, none of which could provide the needed holding strength for day-to-day usage.

Thats where our best friend 3d-rpinting comes in handy.
As always, a first prototype was quickly drawn up in CAD.

The main goal, besides having good grip between the two surfaces, was keeping the storage footprint as low as possible.
First tests of splitting it into four separate pieces were very successful.

Two 2x10mm Magnets got glued to each side of the parts, making sure to hold them together. Magnets

Felt Pads got glued to the inside of the gripping arms, to help with friction between the different materials.

A final test solved the last mistery, if it all would melt/burn down once the gas stove was turned on.
Luckily, it didn’t!
Happy cooking & camping!
